Shopping for our Valentine’s Day outfits in My Sister’s Closet resale stores in San Diego and Phoenix, we paused halfway through a rack of True Religion jeans (yes, they were flawless and 90% off retail, but who’s counting?). We wondered, was it too early to decide what we’re going to wear on February 14? 

Then we laughed at ourselves and tried on some San Diego resale Gucci sunglasses – that’s ridiculous; there’s no such thing as too early to shop. This Valentine’s Day, we’re going to look cuter than ever in trends we’re totally obsessed with. Why delay the fun?

 Here’s what we’re thinking:

• Peekaboo Pieces: for a flirty, come-hither style guaranteed to score you a Valentine (or two), take advantage of one of the hottest spring 2013 trends of Fashion Week – peekaboo pieces. Be daring in red midriff-baring separates or show off your never-ending stems in black up-to-there splits.

• Luxe Leather: time-honored and boyfriend-approved, luxe leather pieces are both subtly suggestive and overtly opulent. Dress up a romantic look with a leather biker jacket, or show off your derriere in a fearless red leather skirt.

• Geisha Glamorous: Pay homage to the queens of all things lady-like in a kimono-inspired frock and sandal platforms. The Prada Spring 2013 Collection was clearly inspired by a Japanese muse – come find Miuccia Prada’s sleek and lavish designs at My Sister’s Closet resale stores in San Diego and Phoenix.
